Father Kevin’s Homilies
Year C
For the past 15 years, we have been privileged to read Fr Kevin’s weekly reflection on the Sunday scripture in our missalette*. To mark the 60th jubilee of Fr Kevin’s ordination in 2017, the parish began the process of making the collection of Fr Kevin’s homilies available on our parish website.
With his weekly homily, Fr Kevin never fails to challenge us, educate us, and inspire us with his response to the scripture readings.
We invite you all to dip into this rich new resource and we hope you find it to be a useful addition to your spiritual reflections.

*The Liturgical Calendar begins every year during the month of November on the First Sunday of Advent and runs through to the Solemnity of Christ the King. The “Lectionary,” the Mass readings from the Holy Bible, follows a Sunday cycle and a weekday cycle. The Liturgical Calendar follows a three-year cycle, each year being represented by the letters, A, B, and C. During the year A cycle, the Gospel of Matthew is the primary Gospel that is used for the readings. In year B, Mark is the primary Gospel. In year C, Luke is the primary Gospel. The Gospel of John is proclaimed on particular Sundays in each of the years. Year B occurred in 2018, we are currently in Year C in 2019, and Year A will commence with the First Sunday of Advent next December.
