Christmas Shoe Box Appeal – Many thanks to everyone who helped in this appeal! We collected 74 Shoe Boxes filled with beautiful gifts to bring joy & excitement to the children who will receive them!

The Blessington History Society Exhibition on the Dublin & Blessington Steam Tram, the Exhibition will launch on Tuesday 22^nd November at 7pm in Blessington Library & will run until Saturday 26th November. The exhibition will include a power point presentation on the origins & history of DBST combined with a photographic exhibition of original documents & photos of the steam trams.

Collection for the Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless Saturday 19th November – Lakeshore Striders A.C annual charity collection for the Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless will run for its 7^th year & will take place on Saturday 19^th November at the entrance foyer to SuperValu Blessington (back entrance at carpark) from 12pm to 3pm. Items in high demand by the centre include nappies, baby formula, baby food, toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc), hats, socks, gloves, scarves as well as long life foods such as canned items.
