Prayer before exam Father, Be with me as I take this exam. Keep my mind alert and my memory sharp. Calm my nerves and help me concentrate. I know that you walk with me, Guiding my path and inspiring my heart. I pray that I would feel you with me, And that your friendship would soften the pressure I fee. I pray that I would pass this exam and go on to new things with you. Thank you for your peace and your love in my life. Thank you for your kindness and care for me. Amen.

Sacred Heart Novena This Novena is for the nine days leading to the Feast of the Sacred Heart, which falls this year on 7th June. Maybe you will pray it alone, with family or friends or as part of a Parish Group. Wherever and however you walk these days, know that his heart is there for you. Novena Prayer Lord Jesus Christ, your heart was moved with love for those who came for help in their need. You healed the sick, you fed the hungry, you forgave sinners, you cried over Jerusalem. Above all, you showed to those who were prepared to listen the way to true life, for you are the Way, the Truth and the Life. Lord, your heart is all moved today by your people and their many needs. Open my heart to hear your word, to accept your love and to respond to your call. In particular, I beg you to grant me the favour I ask during this Novena (make your request silently), provided that it will contribute to my own eternal good and to the building up of your kingdom of love, peace and justice here on earth. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

May 12th The Ascension O Lord Jesus, I adore you, Son of Mary, my Saviour and my Brother, for You are God. I follow You in my thoughts, O first-fruits of our race, as I hope one day by Your grace to follow You in my person into heavenly glory. Until then, do not let me neglect the earthly task which You have given me. Let me labour diligently all my life with a greater appreciation for the present. Let me realize that only by accomplishing true human fulfilment can I attain Divine fulfilment and ascend to You at the completion of my work. Amen.
Pope Francis prayer to Mary, Knock
O Mary
You shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the foot of the cross, were united with Jesus’ suffering, and persevered in your faith. “Protectress of the Roman people”, you know our needs, and we know that you will provide, so that, as at Cana in Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us. For he took upon himself our suffering, and burdened himself with our sorrows to bring us, through the cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.
Amen.

CARE OF THE EARTH Use rechargeable batteries, Batteries are extremely dangerous for the environment and, unfortunately, only a fraction of these batteries gets to be recycled. The rest is thrown away, becoming a hazardous enemy of the environment. Two or three sets of rechargeable batteries along with a charger would prevent this from happening. The initial investment will definitely pay off shortly.
Thought for the week We hand over our worries to God and he hands over his blessings to us.
A Prayer for our Parish Heavenly Father, Bless our Church and our parish, And all the good work that goes on in them. May all who are Christians live and work together for the good of each other and the glory of your Name. May those who do not know you be brought by our example to a loving knowledge and peace with you. Amen

Prayer for vocations God our Father, we thank you for calling men and women to serve in your Son’s Kingdom as priests, deacons, and consecrated persons. Send your Holy Spirit to help others to respond generously and courageously to your call. May our community of faith support vocations of sacrificial love in our youth and young adults. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen
Tips For Preparing A May Altar With Children. 1. Find a spot. If you can see it when you’re in the midst of your flurried activities, maybe it will bring calm to you. Then again, maybe you’ll prefer to set it up as something that’s more of a destination. You decide. 2. Make it special. If you have a statue of Mary, however large or small, make sure it’s part of your spot. A special cloth underneath—a pretty napkin or a doily, for example—and a vase or two (or even just a fancy glass), and you are ready to go! 3. Involve your whole family. children will love the ongoing task of keeping the vase filled with pretty flowers. MAYBE they can add some artwork or maybe even a toy or two. The more comfortable children are with Mary, the better later on in life, when they realize the extent of imperfections in life, Mary won’t let them down. They can turn to her without a second thought. Having a pretty Mary altar right in the middle of the family’s busy May comings and goings is one more way to continue to make our Blessed Mother an integral part of faith life.
Many thanks to all who attended our first Women’s Breakfast our next Breakfast will be on Saturday 15th June from 9.30am to 11am all are welcome
May: Month of Mary It is a centuries-old custom of Catholics to dedicate the month of May to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The month of May is always part of the Easter season, the fifty days we celebrate in the liturgy the Resurrection of Our Lord, a time also of awaiting the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The celebration of May as a Marian month fits well with the liturgical celebrations of Easter and Pentecost as we recall Mary’s great joy in her Son’s victory over death as well as her presence with the apostles in the upper room prayerfully awaiting the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
