To Brid & all the wonderful staff of The Curragh Ward in Naas hospital for the care & attention shown to John. Thanks to Dr Farrog, Johnstown, Naas & the staff of David Murphy’s Pharmacy. Thanks to the Palliative Care team Carmel, Tess & Mary in St Brigid’s the Curragh & to our Local Community Nurses Geraldine & Ann Maire, to Pauline & all the staff of the Community Centre in Blessington, your support was very grateful during John’s illness. Thanks to Fr Richard who officiated at John’s Funeral & for all his support with the mass during a difficult time. Thanks to Lorraine Willoughby for the beautiful music in the church. Thanks to Regina & Tony Clarke for all their support, professionalism, & compassion. Thanks to Blessington GAA for their guard of honour & to the players, members & indeed the people in our community who lined the streets to say farewell to John. To Wicklow GAA, & all the GAA clubs in Wicklow & neighbouring Counties for all your messages of support. To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. John’s 1st Anniversary Mass is on St Patrick’s Day at 10am in via Webcam.

Lacken National School are now accepting enrolments for Mainstream and Early Intervention Classes for September 2021. School bus runs daily from/to Blessington. Community Pool for West Wicklow are organising West Wicklow’s Virtual St Patrick’s Day Parade  We want you to get involved! We want everyone across West Wicklow to take part, businesses, schools, community groups, sports clubs & families! All you have to do is send us a photo or a drawing of you getting ready to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. It can be a photo from a previous year or you can pop up your decorations a bit early & take a new picture. We will put all of the photos & pictures together to make a virtual St Patrick’s Day Parade which will be posted on our social media pages on March 17th.
