Santa Cancelled — but Blessington still <<LIGHTS UP>> Christmas 2021. Despite the challenges of the past nearly-two years, Blessington & District Forum continues to provide festive cheer in Blessington with the town’s regular Christmas Lights & Tree which will be switched on at 5:30pm on Saturday, 27th November. SANTA EVENT CANCELLED Unfortunately, after careful consideration, the Forum has made the difficult decision to cancel the visit of Santa, feeling that the current COVID numbers have made it impossible to guarantee a safe Santa experience that everyone can enjoy. We are as upset & disappointed as the girls & boys of Blessington surely are, as well as the planned entertainers & stallholders. It is vital to keep the everyone safe. B+D Forum is still looking for donations to keep the lights twinkling in Blessington over Christmas: every donation counts. It hopes to do well with this year’s GoFundMe project (the main source of its light-up funds) which can be found at See B+D Forum’s Facebook for updates
